
| Career Highlights: German Shepherd Dog Club of America: First Herding Committee Chairman; AKC GS Herding Judge for first GSDCA Herding Trial 1991 Australian Cattle Dog Club of America: Retired Director (after 14 years of continuous service); Originator of Register of Merit Program; German Shepherd Dog Club West Kentucky (since 1988) Founding President and Training Director GSDCA-Working Dog Association founding member NASA longtime member/Director since 1974 *NASA licensed Schutzhund Judge In the course of my service to various dog organizations, I have twice been awarded both the Gaines Good Sportsmanship Medal and the Dog World Award for outstanding contribution to my breeds. I have served as AKC Gazette Columnist for the Australian Cattle Dog Club of America and Obedience Editor for the Dog Sports magazine plus, I am on the regular staff as writer for the German Shepherd Quarterly. I have published over 300 articles in Off-Lead, Front & Finish, NASA News, ACDCA Newsletter, NADOI Newsletter, Dobe Quarterly, GS Review, AKC Gazette, Australian Cattle Dog Year Book, Dog Sports, and many others in both America, Europe and Australia. Since becoming involved in AKC, CKC, AHBA, ACA, SKC, and Schutzhund competition, I have put over 200 titles and degrees on many different breeds in several countries. In 1977 I qualified and showed three dogs in the Gains Mid-Atlantic Regional Obedience Classic: A German Shepherd, an Australian Cattle Dog, and a Sheltie. The ACD was the first of her breed to be represented in the Classic. In 1983, Glendhenmere's Muruki UD was the highest scoring ACD in America by both the Front & Finish and the ACDC of America system. My Australian Cattle Dog import "Trot," Ch Tallawong Blue Jeroa CD VQW OFA CERF ROM, was the first AKC CH to win the ACDCA National Versatility Trial (a competition consisting of obedience, conformation, and herding 5 head of cows over a prescribed course) in 1981 (from a class of 11 entries) His daughter, Ch Glendhenmere's Mia CD VQW ROM OFA, was second place to him. I put 37 titles on "Buruki", my Australian Cattle Dog bitch, WTCH AKC Ch Int'l & SAC CH VCH Glendhenmere's Buruki CDX RE NA NAJ HSBd HSAcds HIAd HTDId HTADIds HRDIs CGC. Buruki was 14 years old when she died in 9-09 and was bred, trained and shown to all of her titles by me. |

| April 9-10, 2011 Obedience Trial- Paducah, KY: Owned, trained and shown by Dr. Mary Belle Adelman: blue Australian Cattle Dog (ACD) bitch, “Libby,” Ch Buzzard’s Blue Print RN, HT, PT, HSAsd, HTADd, STDscd, OTDc, HIC, QW, CGC took first place with a score of 198 for her first leg on Beginners Novice Saturday under judge Harlowe Jahelka. She got her second leg on Sunday under Robert Self, Jr. Owned, trained and shown by Dr. Mary Belle Adelman: German Shepherd Dog “Chase,” Ch pointed Bar-Mill’s Cut To The Chase RN HT PT took second place Saturday with a score of 192 to earn his first leg toward the new Beginners Novice obedience title under judge Harlowe Jahelka. On Sunday, Chase got his 2nd leg toward Beginners Novice under Robert Self, Jr with another 2nd place. Chase also took 2nd place to earn his first leg toward the Graduate Novice obedience title Sunday under judge Robert Self, Jr. |
| 2011 ACDCA National Specialty letcher, NC: Owned, trained and shown by Dr. Mary Belle Adelman: blue Australian Cattle Dog (ACD) bitch, “Libby,” Ch Buzzard’s Blue Print RN, HT, PT, HSAsd, HTADd, STDscd, OTDc, HIC, QW, CGC finished the Beginner Novice (BN) title, picked up 2 Novice Obedience legs toward her CD with a 3rd placement, an Advanced Rally leg with a 3-way tie for 1st place giving her 2 RA leg. In Conformation, with me handling, she got 3rd place in Veteran Bitch 7-10 years Sweepstakes class, 2nd place in Versatility Bitch class. Her co-owner, Colston Couch, handled her in Veteran Bitch 7-10 years to a 4th placement. |
